Summer Camp registration is now open!

For National Developmental Disability Awareness Month this March, we want to highlight our danceABILITY dancers! In the late 1990's, Steppin' Out Dance Studio began offering dance classes to neurodiverse dancers and our danceABILITY classes are still going strong today! You can catch our danceABILITY dancers lighting up the stage at our end-of-season performance in May (2024 performance pictured above).

All of our classes will have an opportunity to perform onstage on May 30th and 31st at the Lindland Theater located at Riordan High School—a beautiful venue equipped with a large stage, lighting plot, sound system, and enough space for up to 800 guests to enjoy the show. It is a highlight of the year for many of our students and families and it's an event you will not want to miss!

A reminder to currently enrolled families:

Attendance is important for participation in these performances! If a student misses more classes than allowed during the spring semester, they will not be able to perform on stage with their class. Please review our attendance policy for full details.

Participation in the performance is not mandatory. Students are welcome to attend classes even if they choose not to participate in the show. If you are not interested in performing, please let us know as soon as possible, so teachers can plan accordingly and we can avoid ordering a costume for you. Angela will begin measuring students for costumes this month.

More details about the performances will be sent to enrolled families throughout the spring. Please keep an eye out for these updates.

Summer camp registration is now open!

This year, we will be offering a two week summer camp for kids ages 6-12! Join Angela & Pearl for a fun filled summer camp experience with some dance & Yoga, arts & crafts, popsicle making, and much more! Choose either or both weeks:

  • Week #1: June 8-12 (including a field trip to The Randall Museum)

  • Week #2: June 22-26 (including a field trip to Yerba Buena Park to see Circus Bella perform)

Camp will consist of a structured activity each day but we will also take daily trips to the park for fresh air and free time. Other than playing in the playground, some of our other favorite things to do at the park are playing soccer, hula-hooping, and cartwheels in the grass.
