Congratulations! + Steppin' Out June News

Congratulations, dancers! That was beautiful.. and inspiring... and entertaining... and moving... and just so much fun. We are super proud--and just generally jazzed--about all that you gave to this past weekend's performances, and we can't wait to see what you do next.

A huge shout out to our teachers and staff for making the show possible in every way large and small; to our parent volunteers, whose tireless work made everything run so smoothly; and to our supportive audience, for always being there for our dancers.

We'll miss you all this summer but look forward to seeing you after Labor Day.

All our love,
The Steppin' Out Team

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?

  • Classes have ended for the 2018-19 season and Steppin' Out will be closed for the summer except for summer camp (see below). Go have fun and enjoy your break.

  • If you were in a show, you'll receive an email with instructions about how to download the performance videos once they are ready.

  • You'll also get notified about the process for ordering photos from our dress rehearsal photo shoot.

  • The fall schedule will be released in July and registration notification will happen through the newsletter in August, so watch this space--we hope you'll join us for the 2019-20 season, starting after Labor Day.

DON'T FORGET: STEPPIN' OUT'S FIRST-EVER SUMMER CAMP
Space is still available for summer camp! Camp is designed for children ages 5-12 and runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. (with drop off as early as 8:30 a.m.) Monday through Friday. Our tuition of $325/week includes all activities plus a healthy snack. Camp is offered for two weeks this summer, June 10-14 and June 17-21. Register for either or both!

MOVEMENT OF THE MONTH (SUMMER EDITION): THE DAB
This summer, surprise your kids by knowing the hottest new move: "the dab." There's even a wikiHow for it! Now we just have to figure out how to get it into next year's choreography...

SEE TEACHER SONJA ON STAGE
This August, Teacher Sonja will perform with Garrett and Moulton Productions' "Four Acts of Light and Wonder" (appropriate for older children). Tickets are already on sale, and August might be the perfect time to return to that "dance mindset" before classes resume. You can also read more about the performance, which includes a community cast performing ball passing!

QUICK TIP
Summer can be a wonderful opportunity for downtime, but don't stop moving. Finding everyday opportunities to "dance" (while making dinner? while straightening up rooms?) will make it easier to return to class this fall.
